PA Man Arrested on Attempted Murder Charge in Lower Township
A Pennsylvania man is facing numerous charges, including first degree attempted murder, following a stabbing Wednesday in North Cape May.
Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland says 57-year-old Joseph T. Schroeder was arrested and charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon. Schroeder is being detained at Cooper Medical Center until he is medically cleared to be transported to the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Authorities say on the morning of November 28th, Lower Township Police responded to a report of a stabbing inside a home in the 1200 block of Sunnyside Drive. Upon arrival, officers found 50-year-old Vincent Harrington with multiple stab wounds. Schroeder was taken into custody without incident.
The victim was transported to Atlantic City Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. He is reported to be in stable condition.
