PA Woman Faces Child Endangerment, Weapons Charges in North Wildwood

North Wildwood, N.J. — A Pennsylvania woman who was allegedly exhibiting signs of a possible drug overdose in a home where two juveniles were present has been charged after authorities said a search warrant turned up a loaded handgun tucked under a mattress.

46-year-old Tammy M. Paulin of Greenville, PA, was placed on a warrant pursuant to New Jersey Bail Reform guidelines and transported to the Cape May County Correctional Facility.

The North Wildwood Police Department said its officers responded to a home in the area of 400 E. 26th Avenue last Friday, September 11th, after two juveniles inside the residence called 9-1-1. Officers arrived to find 46-year-old Tammy M. Paulin showing signs of a possible drug overdose.

A search warrant executed at the home turned up a loaded Taurus G3 9mm handgun and two high-capacity magazines, which were reportedly unsecured underneath a mattress, according to the department.

Paulin was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of high-capacity magazines.

The Cape May County Prosecutor's Office Child Advocacy Center assisted in the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the North Wildwood Police Department Detective Bureau at (609) 522-2411.

The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
