Egg Harbor Township, N.J. — A 20-year-old man suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the Black Horse Pike in EHT Saturday night.

Egg Harbor Township Police say at about 9:00 Saturday night, they were called to the intersection of Routes 40/322 and Fire Road for a report of a crash.

According to authorities, 80-year-old Delwood Williams of Williamstown was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado westbound on the Pike when he struck a pedestrian who was improperly crossing the highway.

That pedestrian, 20-year-old Najee Ceaser from Mays Landing, suffered serious injuries. He was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City for treatment.

Williams was not injured in the crash.

Assisting at the crash scene were Egg Harbor Township EMS, AtlantiCare ALS, and TriCare Medical.

Traffic was detoured in the area for about three hours while the crash was investigated and cleared.
