Atlantic City Police say a 53-year-old woman from Galloway called 911 around 4:30 Friday morning and said she thought she hit something but didn't know what due to the fog. According to police, the man was pronounced dead at the scene; his identity was not known at the time a press release was issued Friday afternoon.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash, however, toxicology results are pending.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Atlantic City Police Department at (609) 347-5744.
