Pleasantville Man Charged with Murdering Woman in Atlantic City

A man from Pleasantville has been charged with murder in connection to the death of a woman in Atlantic City last weekend.

Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner says 54-year-old Mark Huff is facing murder and weapons charges in the killing of Vernell K. Vance.

Authorities say late last Saturday night, the Atlantic City Police Department received a 911 call about a body had been discovered behind 21 S. Tennessee Avenue. Police found Vance, who was determined to be deceased and had suffered significant blunt force head trauma.

Huff is being held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
