- A Pleasantville man pleaded guilty to multiple criminal charges
- The drug case involved more than five ounces of cocaine
- Two of his adult children reported alleged abuse dating back to when they were under 13
Mays Landing, N.J. — A Pleasantville man has pleaded guilty to drug distribution, sexual assault, and terroristic threats, including charges related to the alleged abuse of two of his own children when they were both under 13 years old.
On Monday, 44-year-old Roberto Perez-Solis pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree sexual assault and two counts of third-degree terroristic threats.
An agreement calls for a total of 12 years in state prison on the drug distribution charge; he will be required to serve 85% of a six-year prison term on the sexual assault charges, and a concurrent three-year term for terroristic threats. Upon release, Perez-Solis will be supervised on parole for three years, registered as a sex offender under Megan's Law, and subject to parole supervision for life.
Drug Distribution
In 2021, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Gangs, Guns, and Narcotics Unit conducted a proactive investigation into drug distribution in Atlantic County. During August and November of that year, Perez-Solis made multiple cocaine sales totaling more than five ounces.
Sexual Assault of His Own Children
In early 2025, two adult children of Perez-Solis came forward to Atlantic City Police and disclosed that he had touched them inappropriately years earlier, when they were both under 13 years old.
They did not come forward until adulthood because they feared they would not be believed and were afraid of how Perez-Solis would react.
