Atlantic City, NJ Man Violates Probation

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that Atlantic City Man will be heading back to New Jersey state prison following probation violations.

On Friday, May 8, 2026, Rashad Lampkin, 37 years old, from of Atlantic City, New Jersey was found guilty of violating his probation by New Jersey Superior Court Judge Ralph Paolone.

Lampkin has been sentenced to five years in New Jersey State Prison, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Circumstances Surrounding Rashad Lampkin

On December 20, 2013, Lampkin was convicted of:

3rd degree possession, with intent to distribute CDS.
3rd degree possession
Harassment — involving three separate incidents.

Lampkin was initially sentenced to probation and had avoided a state prison sentence.

Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Comments About The Lampkin Case

On September 25, 2024, Lampkin was convicted of third-degree possession with intent to and third-degree possession of an electronic communications device while incarcerated. He previously pleaded guilty to those crimes for a recommended sentence of three years in New Jersey State Prison. Over the State's objection, he was again sentenced to an additional term of probation. On December 16, 2024, Lampkin was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree charges stemming from a home invasion burglary with the use of a handgun. The violation of probation was promptly filed and a hearing ensued. The Honorable Ralph Paolone, J.S.C. found that Lampkin had willfully and inexcusably violated his conditions of probation, namely, failing to remain law-abiding and arrest free. He was then re-sentenced to five years in New Jersey State Prison, said the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
