A Philadelphia man has died after being shot in Atlantic City, New Jersey on November 10, 2023.

As a result, a joint investigation has been open by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Atlantic City Police Department.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed these established facts as follows:

On November 10, 2023, at approximately 12:50 p.m., the Atlantic City Police Department was dispatched to the 1900 block of Grant Avenue in reference to a shooting. Khalid Scott Jr (26 years old) of Philadelphia was located in the driver's seat of a two-door sedan with a gunshot wound to the head. Scott was transported to AtlantiCare Medical Center where he pronounced deceased on November 11, 2023 at 2:15 p.m.

This collaborative investigation is being directed by the Atlantic County Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department Violent Crimes Unit.
