Prosecutor Wants Father Of Atlantic City, NJ Principal Recused
We have obtained a copy of a letter that was sent to the Atlantic County, New Jersey legal counsel from Atlantic County Prosecutor Will Reynolds.
The letter is dated January 29, 2026 and we are publishing it in this report (below).
Constance Days-Chapman — Principal of Atlantic City High School
Was criminally charged with second-degree official misconduct.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office formally moved to have all criminal charges dismissed.
Days-Chapman has since returned to her principal position at Atlantic City High School.
The Reverend Collins Days
Is an Atlantic County Commissioner, who serves District 1 and the father of Constance Days-Chapman.
Will Reynolds Request
Reynolds wants Collins Days to be “indefinitely recused” from being able to vote on any matter that pertains to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Reynolds Letter States
While the resulting indictment was ultimately dismissed, this agency believes that a conflict endures and supports our previous request that Commissioner Days recuse himself from any votes that touch upon the work of the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. It is our position that it is necessary to ensure that any votes of the Board of Commissioners are free of an unavoidable familial conflict arising from the case, wrote Reynolds.
