Prosecutor: Tuckerton, NJ, Man Indicted for Attempted Murder in January
Authorities say a man from Tuckerton has been indicted in connection to a shooting in Little Egg Harbor Township back in January.
Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer says 52-year-old Donald Rutter was indicted by a grand jury on Thursday; he is facing attempted murder and weapon-related charges.
Cops say on the evening of January 5th, Little Egg Harbor Township police were called out to Jarvis Marine on Radio Road after they received a 9-1-1 call about a person who had been shot.
Officers at the scene found 55-year-old Thomas Jarvis of Little Egg Harbor with a gunshot wound to his midsection. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment and then eventually released.

Billhimer says an investigation by his office determined Rutter was responsible for shooting Jarvis. On January 28th, Rutter was located in Atlantic City and arrested without incident by the United States Marshals Service. He has been held in the Ocean County Jail since.
According to an affidavit filed by investigators in Superior Court in Ocean County, Rutter blamed Jarvis for the breakup of his 18-year marriage.
The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
