Punxsutawney Phil Makes it Official

It’s Official, Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow.

Phil says we’re in for an early Spring.

He’s been predicting the weather on Groundhog Day for more than 120 years.

You’d think he would be good at this by now?

However, Phil Actually has amassed a very poor actual record over the many years.

Overall, Phil has been right 39 percent of the time. However, when he doesn’t see his shadow (like today), he’s right 47 percent of the time.

In any event, Phil’s prognostications are worse than a simple coin toss, which has a 50-50 success rate.

I’m rooting for an early Spring. I still believe in Phil.
