Retired Atlantic City Police Officer Set to Run For EHT Committee

Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey is the largest municipality in Atlantic County.

Egg Harbor Township was a launching pad for New Jersey Senator Vince Polistina.

The same can be said for former Senator James J. “Sonny McCullough.

McCullough served as Mayor of Egg Harbor Township for nearly 30 years, before becoming the 2nd Legislative District Senator.

Egg Harbor Township has been so instrumental in terms of selecting County and State level candidates, because of the sheer size of its voting delegation.

Many of the higher level office holders in Atlantic County have gotten their start by living in Egg Harbor Township … running for and serving on the Egg Harbor Township Committee.

A political newcomer, Michael Heath announced (7:00 a.m. hour) this morning, Thursday, December 19, 2024 on WPG Talk Radio 95.5 that he will seek the Republican Nomination for the Egg Harbor Township Committee.

The Committee is comprised of 5 members. In the upcoming 2025 election cycle, only one seat is open.

While Health is a newcomer to electoral politics, he is very savvy and knowledgeable about how the election process works.

Heath spent an entire career making life and death decisions as a member of the Atlantic City Police Department.

Heath was regularly assigned to some of the most dangerous undercover and decoy work in law enforcement.

Heath’s performance has been shown on national television, when he would make split-second decisions about when to enter a dangerous crime scene to protect a police decoy officer and run down bad guys.

It is for these reasons and more that I nicknamed Heath, “The Hero“ many decades ago.

Heath has earned a stellar reputation for his honesty, integrity and moral character.

The Republican Nominee will be selected in June, 2025 and General Election Day U.S. set for Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
