The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office is investigating a shooting that happened in Atlantic City Monday night that left one man dead and two women wounded.

Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner says Atlantic City police officers were called to the area of Pennsylvania and Magellan Avenues at about 10:30 Monday night after receiving a ShotSpotter alert. Arriving officers found a 19-year-old man and two 21-year-old female victims suffering from gunshot wounds. All three people were taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Campus to be treated; 19-year-old Samir Ross of Atlantic City was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Tyner says this is an active investigation by the ACPO Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department.
