“Shakey,” Woman Arrested on Drug Charges in Middle Township

Two people were arrested on drug charges in Middle Township Thursday.

Officers with the Middle Township Police Department executed a search warrant at 114 E. Main Street on Thursday with assistance from the Cape May County Swat Team and the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office-NTF.

38-year-old James "Shakey” Powell and 35-year-old Dana Robinson-Powell were both arrested as a result. Police say over a 1/2-ounce of crack cocaine and a small amount of marijuana were recovered from the home at that address.

Both Powell and Robinson-Powell are now facing various drug-related charges, including possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana. Powell was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Facility and Robinson-Powell was released on a summons.
