A published report says a Somers Point man who was accused of killing a relative near Washington, DC, earlier this week was found dead in Atlantic City.

WUSA-TV reported late Monday night, police in Prince George's County, Maryland, were called to a home in the town of Brandywine for a report of a shooting.

There, they found 62-year-old Lewis Parker, Sr., suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital where he died a short time later.

Investigators determined Parker's nephew, 29-year-old Elijah Drew of Somers Point, was a suspect in his death.

The station reported Drew was found dead from what officials believe to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Atlantic City the next day.

It is not yet known why Drew allegedly killed Parker.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the Prince George's County Police Department's Homicide Unit at (301) 516-2512.
