The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that a Somers Point, New Jersey man has been charged with a myriad of serious criminal charges against a child.

This represents a successful collaboration between the Somers Point Police Department and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The Accused & The Criminal Charges

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office has revealed that:

On Sunday, March 29, 2026, Shaun M. Stubbins, 43 years old, from Somers Point, New Jersey was arrested and charged with:

  • first-degree aggravated sexual assault of a victim under the age of 13.
  • first-degree permitting a child to engage in pornography.
  • second-degree photographing a child in a sex act.
  • second-degree endangering the welfare of a child by sexual act.
  • third-degree showing obscenity to a minor.
  • fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office has also confirmed that these charges are from alleged incidents involving multiple victims from the years 2014 to 2025.

An ongoing investigation found that over a period of over ten years, Stubbins allegedly committed multiple sexual acts against multiple victims under the age of 13. He is also alleged to have created and possessed child sexual abuse material (CSAM), otherwise known as "child pornography,” said the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The Accused Is A Pre-Kindergarten Teacher’s Aide

Stubbins was arrested by Somers Point Police Department Officers, whereby he is currently being held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

A detention hearing is pending.

Stubbins is employed as a pre-kindergarten teacher's aide at Woodbine Elementary School.
