South Jersey Man Biking from Oregon to Sea Isle City for Charity
A man from Dennis Township is riding his bike from Oregon to Sea Isle City to raise donations for multiple charities.
Ken Heath is currently on his way back to the Jersey shore after bicycling approximately 4,200 miles since mid-April, according to a GoFundMe page established to champion his coast-to-coast cause.
Heath's fundraising campaign is partly to honor his sister, Elizabeth Heath Bizuk, who passed away from breast cancer. He's riding to benefit the American Cancer Society in memory of his sister, the fight against ALS and autism, as well as the Wounded Warrior Project.
This ride across the country is such an incredible feat of strength. I get winded riding my bike around the neighborhood, lol. And, to do it for such worthy causes is super admirable. What Ken is doing requires an incredible amount of physical and mental fortitude. I'm sure thinking of the battle his sister fought against breast cancer keeps him going.
If all goes according to plan, Heath is scheduled to arrive back in Sea Isle this Saturday.
