Facing closure, both St. Joseph High School and St. Joseph Regional Elementary School in Hammonton are asking for help via a new GoFundMe page to privatize the two schools.

Per the Twitter account @StGotta:

When St. Joe was announced that our doors were closing. That post reached 27,000 people. To put that into perspective out of those 27,000 people, if they all donated just $18.00 we would hit our GoFundMe goal!!

Below is how you can help the cause:

The Diocese of Camden announced last Friday that five schools would be closing, including Saint Joseph Regional Elementary School and High School in Hammonton, Cape Trinity Catholic Elementary School in Wildwood, Wildwood Catholic High School in Wildwood, and Good Shepherd Regional Elementary School in Collingswood.

In a statement released Friday, the Diocese said, "The decision to close the schools is difficult. Years of dwindling community support in the form of declining student enrollment and local fundraising, despite significant diocesan and parish financial support, has necessitated this decision."
