During any normal time in Atlantic City history, this iconic showcase event would be taking place at the Atlantic City Boathouse.
However, a recent action taken by the Atlantic City Board of Education and fully supported by Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small and Atlantic City Superintendent of Public Schools, La’Quetta Small kicked Stockton University out of the Atlantic City Boathouse … with no time to spare.
Despite much vitriol coming from the mouth of Marty Small, Stockton University has taken the high road and has not said or written one negative thing about this unfortunate controversy.
Stockton University faced an immovable deadline in order to be able to start their rowing season on time.
Brigantine Mayor Vince Sera, former long-time Mayor Dr. Phil Guenther, and The Brigantine Rowing Club stepped-up and provided Stockton University with a wonderful new home.
The Stockton-Brigantine relationship is strong.
Tomorrow and Sunday’s prestigious rowing event in Brigantine is direct supporting evidence of this.
