Stockton University & Atlantic City Community Day Cleanup
Stockton University has been a great steward of Atlantic City.
This commitment continues with the fast-approaching inaugural Stockton - Atlantic City Community Day Cleanup and Party in the Park on Saturday, April 23, 2022, with a rain date the following day, Sunday, April 24, 2022.
The community event is part of Stockton University’s 50th Anniversary Celebration.
Things will kick off with a clean-up of Atlantic City, encompassing all wards, 1-6, and on the beach.
The hard work will be rewarded with a block party to be held in O'Donnell Park, across from the Stockton University Atlantic City campus.
"We are thrilled with the community response and the support from our community sponsors," said Stockton Atlantic City Chief Operating Officer Brian K. Jackson, co-chair of the event.
“To date, more than 500 people have registered for the cleanup. The 80 partners include neighborhood civic associations throughout the city along with area businesses, several casinos and service organizations ranging from AtlantiCare to Surfrider Foundation. This is truly going to be a citywide event," said Jackson.

It’s a real homecoming for Stockton University President Harvey Kesselman, who attended classes in Atlantic City 50 years ago, while Stockton University was under construction in Galloway Township.
According to Kesselman, “it is only fitting that the university holds an anniversary party in the city.”
"Atlantic City is where we got our start," Kesselman said. "We are proud to be back in the city at our Atlantic City campus and invite residents to come join us in the
celebration,” said Kesselman.
Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small is a Stockton University graduate. He is encouraging city residents and visitors to take part in the activities.
"This is an opportunity for all of us to show our pride in our city," Small said. "It's always a great day in Atlantic City, and Stockton is making this a very special day for
our residents,” said Small.
