I started this time-traveling experiment the other day when I drove past the old Acme store on the White Horse Pike in Egg Harbor City.

Now, that store and that giant sign have been there forever, but I did some digging and found out exactly when it first opened (the answer is below).

And from there, my interest in finding other really old things in our area grew and grew.

Surprisingly, it's pretty easy to find things that are well over a century old right in our backyards.
