Suspect in Fatal Shooting of Camden County, NJ, Man Arrested
Authorities in Camden County say a suspect has been arrested in connection to the death of a man from Sicklerville last weekend.
Camden County Prosecutor Grace MacAulay says 28-year-old Shakeem Cook of Camden was taken into custody late Wednesday night by the U.S. Marshals Service Regional Fugitive Task Force.
He has been charged with first-degree murder and related weapons offenses in the death of 31-year-old Kadeem McBride.
According to police,
On February 13, 2022 at approximately 3:54 p.m., officers responded to the 2700 block of Mount Ephraim Avenue for a ShotSpotter activation which led to the victim being found in the parking lot suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased several hours later at Cooper Hospital.
Cook is being held in the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing.
The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
