In the latest chapter of the Ben Simmons saga, the Philadelphia 76ers have fined the three-time NBA all-star selection his $360,000 game salary for missing Thursday night's win in Detroit.
According to reports, Simmons was ejected from practice by Sixers head coach Doc Rivers for not being engaged, and, per a press release from the team, has been suspended for one game due to conduct detrimental to the team.
Led by Ben Simmons, the Sixers got off to a fast start and didn’t look back in a 127-83 blowout of the shorthanded Hawks at the Wells Fargo Center Wednesday.
This game would be another tale of two halves. The Sixers would take control early and dominate for a large majority of the first half, then things would take a turn in the third quarter.
76ers center Joel Embiid has been suspended two games for his role in the fight with Timberwolves center Karl Anthony Towns and "continued escalation following the incident" from Wednesday's game.
Ben Simmons hit a three-point basket in a NBA game (well, it was a preseason game against a team that isn't actually in the NBA) against the Guangzhou Loong Lions.
