Flu Season

For the past several days, we've been telling you about how the flu bug is spreading across the region.

Getting the flu is uncomfortable enough, but for many people taking the day to recuperate isn't the option.

The New Jersey Health Department says the flu season arrived two weeks earlier than normal this year with a strain of the virus that causes more severe symptoms and results in more hospitalizations than lesser types.

This year's flu season is proving to be particularly nasty as health officials around New Jersey report epidemic levels.
