
Teen on electric scooter killed in crash on White Horse Pike in Galloway, NJ
A teenager who was riding an electric scooter on the White Horse Pike in Galloway was killed in an accident early Friday morning.
Stephen B. Johnson III of Galloway Township, NJ, Killed
The Galloway Township Police Department says the crash happened around 1:30 AM at the intersection with Jimmie Leeds Road.
Officers arrived to find a Toyota Rav4 and an Acura TLX at the scene and 19-year-old Stephen B. Johnson III of Galloway Township deceased in the roadway.
Authorities say an initial investigation revealed that the Toyota, being driven by Edith Ramirez-Masedas of Galloway, was traveling westbound on the White Horse Pike. As the Toyota approached West Jimmie Leeds Road, the vehicle struck Johnson, who was riding an electric scooter in the lane of travel. Johnson was thrown into the roadway and then hit by an Acura being driven by Manuel Rodriguez of Egg Harbor Township.
