This is everything that is right about great Americans.

Congratulations to Mainland Regional High School for  displaying this very worthy project on their school property.

This is a partnership between Mainland Regional High School and The Knights of Columbus.

My operating philosophy is that we simply can’t do enough for Veterans.

This is such a profound project.

The number of flags that you see in our featured photograph below, contains one flag for each Veteran that commits suicidal each and every month.

It’s very hard to read the words on the top of this display… Which reads, “Flags For Forgotten Soldiers.”

The truth is that no Veteran should ever be forgotten.

When you look at the amount of flags in this display and that each represents a lost life … it demonstrates the severity of United States Veterans and the tragic reality of so many who die by suicide.

To think about how they serve and protect our freedom and yet after surviving their military service they ultimately die by their own hands … it is both unacceptable and heartbreaking.

Please, if you know of a Veteran that is in distress, there is a Veterans Crisis Line available to assist at any time by dialing 988, then press option 1.

Programs like this and supporting our Veterans can help to reduce the staggering number of suicides that occur in America, today.
