Three women from Hammonton, ages 87, 90, and 92, all with pre-existing medical conditions have become the latest fatalities related to COVID-19 in Atlantic County.

Officials made the announcement on Tuesday, bringing the number of people who have died from the virus to 22. 52 new positive cases were also reported, bringing the countywide total to 499, and 10 more people have been cleared as recovered, bringing that total to 81.

Today's positive cases per town/township:
Hammonton - 11
Egg Harbor Township - 8
Galloway Township - 6
Atlantic City, Hamilton Township, Pleasantville - 5 each
Linwood - 3
Brigantine, Buena, Estell Manor, Folsom, Northfield, Port Republic - 1 each

County health officials attributed the increase in positive cases to an increase in testing, which began earlier this month.

Atlantic County will offer COVID-19 testing again on Thursday, April 23rd, at Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing. Visit the county's website for a full list of qualifications and to make an appointment.
