Three Shootings in Five Days: Another Man Wounded in Atlantic City, NJ
For the third time in five days, cops say a person has been shot and wounded in Atlantic City.
The Atlantic City Police Department says their officers were called to Indiana and Hummock Avenues around 6:30 Thursday morning after they received a ShotSpotter alert. At the scene, cops found a 33-year-old man from Atlantic City suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury.
Earlier this week, cops were called out to the 800 block of Virginia Avenue on Monday afternoon for another ShotSpotter alert. There, a 27-year-old victim from Atlantic City was found with gunshot wounds.
The night before that shooting, on Sunday, September 19th, officers were out in the 2600 block of Pacific Avenue after they received a report of gunfire. At that location, cops located a wounded 46-year-old man from Atlantic City.
In those two cases, both victims were treated and released from a local hospital.
The Atlantic City Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit continues to investigate all three incidents.
