Atlantic City Police Seek Public’s Help Finding Man Wanted for Shooting, Assault
The Atlantic City Police Department is asking for your help in locating 25-year-old Tyquan McClarin-Lamar, who is wanted for shooting a woman while several children were in the same home.
Authorities say ACPD officers responded to the 100 block of North North Carolina Avenue in reference to a 23-year-old woman who had been shot. That woman was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center - City Division for treatment of a non-life threatening injury.
An investigation by detectives of the Violent Crimes Unit revealed that Tyquan McClarin-Lamar arrived at the residence and engaged in a fight with a man inside. During the fight McClarin-Lamar pulled out a handgun and fired one shot which struck the woman. Both McClarin-Lamar and the other man fled the residence before the arrival of officers. During the fight and shooting, there were three small children in the residence.
McClarin-Lamar, of Atlantic City, has been charged with four counts of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, certain person not to possess a weapon, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
