HERE ARE THE UPDATED VOTE TOTALS WITH VOTE BY MAIL BALLOTS THAT WERE RECEIVED & COUNTED BY 12:00 NOON ON TUESDAY, MAY 8, 2023
COLUMN A

Blumberg currently leads Tessler by 348 votes for the third and final Commission seat … with additional vote by mail and absentee ballots to still be tallied.
There does not appear to be a path for Tessler to make up the margin that he trails Blumberg by.
We called the race for Blumberg - Horn - Collins last night at 9:00 p.m., based upon their strength on Election Day at the voting machines.
With the vast majority of vote by mail ballots counted, Tessler only picked up 52 votes over Blumberg out more than 500 vote by mail ballots cast.
Note: Each voter is allowed to vote for up to three candidates.
We will update this upon the receipt of additional votes being counted.
It was a very nasty campaign season, that many Margate residents have told me how relieved they are that it is over.
The new three-member Margate City Commission should be sworn into office on this upcoming Tuesday, May 15, 2023, or, soon thereafter.
