Vineland, NJ, Cops: Teen Shot in the Neck, Two Juveniles Arrested
Authorities in Cumberland County say a 16-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot in the neck Thursday afternoon; two juveniles have been arrested.
The incident happened at around 3:15 PM in the 700 block of East Wood Street, according to a press release from the Vineland Police Department.
At the scene, officers, "located several witnesses as well as evidence of a shooting. The witnesses on scene informed arriving Officers that a potential shooting victim was currently being transported to the Inspira Medical Center in Vineland."
The victim, identified only as a 16-year-old male, did arrive at that hospital where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the neck. He was then taken to Cooper Hospital in Camden for further treatment. As of Friday afternoon, he was listed in critical condition.
The Vineland Police Department says two juvenile males have been arrested and charged as their investigation continues.
