A serious stabbing incident has taken place on the World’s Famous Boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Tuesday, March 22, 2022.

The violent incident occurred in broad daylight in the late 10:00 a.m. hour, yesterday.

According to BreakingAC, a 63-year-old man from Atlantic City was stabbed on the Boardwalk, near the Tropicana Hotel and Casino.

The Atlantic City Police Department has not yet released the identity of the stabbing victim.

The victim received life-threatening injuries during the attack and is presently at the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Division.

Witnesses have reported their accounts of the stabbing to the Atlantic City Police Department.

The Atlantic City Police have arrested Ronald Aponte, 64, and charged him with four serious offenses:

  • Attempted murder.
  • Aggravated assault.
  • Unlawful possession of a weapon.
  • Possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

A motive for the attack has not been revealed at this time.

Aponte is currently being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
