For the 3rd Time in 3 Days, NJ Lottery Player at Wawa Wins Big
Apparently, if you want to win the lottery in New Jersey, you should be buying your tickets at Wawa.
Of course, your odds of winning are exactly the same no matter where you decide to throw down some money, but for whatever reason, Wawas have been on a winning streak lately.
Case in point, for the third time in as many days, there has been another big lottery winner from a Wawa store.
Turning $2 into over $66,000
The winning streak all started on Monday.
That's when, according to officials with the New Jersey Lottery, one lucky player purchased a ticket for the $2 Jersey Jackpot and won $66,699.

That winning ticket was sold at Wawa on Route 130 in Robbinsville, Mercer County.
Powerball winner #1
Next up, two Powerball tickets in the Garden State matched four of the five white balls and the Power Ball drawn on Monday night, making each one worth $100,000.
One of those tickets was sold at the Doo-wop Wawa on Route 47 in Wildwood.
Powerball winner #2
On Thursday, NJ Lottery officials announced that two tickets matched four of the five white balls and the Power Ball drawn for the Wednesday night Powerball drawing, making those each worth $50,000.
One of those tickets was sold at -- you guessed it -- a Wawa, specifically, their store on Church Road in Cinnaminson.
Those winning numbers were 23, 35, 45, 66, and 67. The Red Power Ball number was 20 and the Power Play was 3X.
Amazing coincidence
As we said before, your odds of winning the lottery are the same at any store that sells tickets. The fact that Wawas have sold several winning tickets lately is just a coincidence.
A similar streak developed back in 2020 when several winning tickets were sold at ShopRite stores.
Big bucks up for grabs
Two huge jackpots have been fueling interest in the lottery lately.
The Mega Millions jackpot is at $560 million for the next drawing to be held on Friday night while Powerball sits at $875 million for the next drawing on the following night.
