A wife has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing her husband at the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City Wednesday morning.

Atlantic City Police say they responded to the Golden Nugget Atlantic City around 9:30 Wednesday morning after receiving a call about a man and woman found stabbed in a hotel room. Security initially responded to the room after receiving a call reporting an argument.

An investigation conducted by ACPD detectives determined that the wife, 64-year-old Majocyline Tan of Edison, had stabbed her 72-year-old husband multiple times and then stabbed herself.

Both were transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, with serious injuries, however, they are expected to survive.

Majocyline Tan was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. She is currently under police guard at the hospital.
