Authorities are asking for the public's help finding the person who was driving a vehicle that struck and killed a man in his 30s early Friday morning in Willingboro.

Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina says the accident happened just after 2 AM on Garfield Drive near Eastbrook Lane.

The victim, whose name is being withheld at this time, was dead when he was discovered a short time later.

An autopsy determined the death was due to massive internal injuries.

“This case is being actively investigated, and we are appealing to anyone who has relevant information to contact us immediately,” Prosecutor Coffina said in a statement. “It’s likely that somebody out there knows the details of what occurred, along with the identity of the driver who struck this man and fled without seeking assistance, leaving him in the roadway to die.”
