Young New Jersey Man Killed in New Orleans Terrorist Attack

The New Year was just a few hours old, when terrorism struck America.

14 innocent Americans were killed and dozens more were injured in New Orleans, Louisiana on famed Bourbon Street.

Among the murdered is New Jersey resident Billy DiMaio who was killed in the terrorist attack during the early morning hours of New Year’s day, 2025.

DiMaio’s roommate, Troy Gallo appeared live this morning on Fox and Friends and talked about DiMaio in deservedly glowing terms.

Gallo talked about being in contact with DiMaio during. Ist if the night and then lost contact with him.

Gallo talked about the disbelief when he found out that DiMaio was killed in the terrorist attack.

Gallo also revealed that DiMaio was in New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl between Notre Dame versus Georgia.

DiMaio had purchased tickets for family members, which Gallo said was the kind of person that Billy DiMaio was.

DiMaio was a 2022 graduate of Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

6ABC Action News reported about this by sharing a statement from Chestnut Hill College as follows:

”We are devastated by the news of the passing of our alumnus, Billy DiMaio '22," the college said in a statement, calling one of its own a leader in the community who shined in the classroom and on the lacrosse team serving at the 2022 captain,” according to 6abc Action News.

"Our prayers are with the entire DiMaio family at this tragic hour, as our entire college reflects upon the positive impact he had upon so many in our close community," the statement concluded.

DiMaio is a 2017 graduate of Holmdel High School in New Jersey.
