NH Man Sentenced For Molesting 12-year-old in Egg Harbor Twp., NJ

A man from New Hampshire has received a long prison sentence for molesting a 12-year-old child in Egg Harbor Township nearly two years ago.

39-year-old Scott Wilkinson of Concord, NH, previously pleaded guilty to one count each of production of child pornography and possession of child sexual abuse material.

On Thursday in federal court in New Hampshire, Wilkinson was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Federal authorities said Wilkinson had been corresponding with the child online for about a year before traveling to New Jersey to meet.

He traveled from New Hampshire to Egg Harbor Township in April 2022 where he engaged in sexual acts with the child.

A video that Wilkinson created of himself engaged in sexual acts with the child was found on his cell phone, as were other images and videos of child sexual abuse material.

In addition to the prison term, Wilkinson was also sentenced to 10 years of supervised release.

Federal officials thanked special agents of the FBI/Newark's Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force along with the Egg Harbor Township and Concord Police Departments for their work in this case.
