Unidentified Man Shot and Killed in Pleasantville, NJ

UPDATE: Authorities have identified the victim as 45-year-old Mamadou Toure of Pleasantville.

Authorities in Atlantic County say a man was fatally shot in Pleasantville Monday morning.

The incident happened around 8:40 in the area of West Pleasant Avenue and Main Street.

As of Tuesday morning, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office says the identity of the male victim was still not known.

The prosecutor’s office and the Pleasantville Police Department are cooperatively investigating this incident.
