Details have been released on the accident that claimed the life of a 15-year-old Upper Township boy last week.

The Press of Atlantic City reports that Jackson Sturm was killed on Route 50 when his bicycle was struck two sports utility vehicles just before 5PM Thursday.

The Press says police say Sturm was riding on the right shoulder of the road during clear, dry conditions.

Trooper Charles Marchan is quoted as saying the boy attempted to cross over the highway when he was struck by both vehicles, heading in the same direction that he was traveling.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the report, the drivers of the vehicles were Monica Allonardo, 19, of Vineland, and Kelly Taylor, 29, of Woodbine.

The accident remains under investigation.
