If you noticed that that Pacific Avenue at Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard in Atlantic City, New Jersey was closed last night for a period of time, here’s what happened:

According to the Atlantic City Police Department:

On June 21, 2024, at 5:59 PM, two marked police vehicles were involved in a crash at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and Pacific Avenue. After the initial impact, one of the vehicles struck a traffic control device that fell over and impacted the roof of a third vehicle. Two officers were transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, for non-life-threatening injuries. There were no reported injuries in the third vehicle, said the Atlantic City Police Department.

The Atlantic City Police officers were attempting to locate a robbery suspect that was located near the 100 block of Park Place to locate a suspect.

The Atlantic City Police learned at the scene that a suspect had grabbed his waistband during the robbery, indicating he was in possession of a gun.

The Atlantic City Police Department has not yet located the suspect in this robbery.
