Tuesday night, trackers with OCEARCH got a ping from a tag on Miss May, a 10-foot-long, 800-pound great white shark about 10-15 miles off the coast of Cape May.

Miss May was tagged by OCEARCH on February 15th near Fernandina Beach, Florida, and has traveled more than 2,700 miles. She has been steadily making her way north past the Carolinas, Virginia, and up to NJ.

It's crazy to think that a 10-foot, 800-pound shark would be dwarfed by our old friend Mary Lee, who came in at 16 feet and 3,400 pounds.

Stay safe in the water!
