America Was Founded Upon Equal Opportunity; Not Equal Results
HARRY HURLEY OPINION EDITORIAL
We need to have a very serious discussion in America.
As socialism continues to breakout in the daily activities of key elected officials at the local, county, state and national levels ... What’s not being discussed is the debilitating results that would occur if this continues.
The latest example is President Joe Biden Domestic Policy adviser Susan Rice, who told CNN last night that:
”Our system is still unfair, We do not have equal outcomes.”
This is an outrageous, dangerous comment.
Since our nation’s founding, the operating principle of our country has been based upon equal opportunity for all; but, equal results (or as Rice says outcomes) are not guaranteed.
There’s a very good reason for this.
If you remove the hard work, big potential reward philosophy; you discourage hard work and actually encourage mediocrity.
For a free society to thrive, the incentive must be in place that if you work hard, you can achieve great things.
For example, if everyone receives the same guaranteed income, any incentive to work harder is removed.
The end result is assured. If this “woke” culture wins and we fundamentally transform from free market capitalism, to socialism ... the ash heap of history is littered with examples of the guaranteed outcome.
Socialism always ends in failure. 100 percent of the time, for all of recorded history.
Socialism is Venezuela. Socialism is Cuba.
The United States of America is the exact opposite of these failed governments.
We presently have arrived at a critical tipping point in American history.
Will Americans continue to be able to grow to the potential of their hard work?
Or, will Americans actually be willing to become wards of the government?
The stakes couldn’t be more serious.
If the American people do not make a course correction in the 2022 midterm elections, then America as we’ve known it for 244 years will cease to exist.
In its place, will be a dystopian alternative that is no ones best interest, except for the controlling authority.
This is the challenge of our lifetime.
The outcome remains unknown at this time and presently hangs in the balance.
