Atlantic City Cops Arrest Suspected Serial Burglar
Cops in Atlantic City believe they have arrested a suspected serial burglar.
According to a press release, an ACPD officer located 24-year-old Jesus Cotto in the 1100 block of Arctic Avenue Tuesday night. Cotto matched the description of a recent burglary suspect.
The ACPD says Cotto initially provided the officer with a fake name, but was identified when he was fingerprinted, which resulted in learning he had two active warrants for his arrest.
Cotto was charged with burglarizing several stores that included:
- September 23 - convenience store on the 1600 block of Atlantic Avenue.
- September 28 - convenience store on the 1100 block of Arctic Avenue.
- September 30 - convenience store on the 500 block of Indiana Avenue.
- October 2 - convenience store on the 1100 block of Arctic Avenue.
Cotto has been charged with four counts each of burglary and theft, hindering apprehension, and contempt of court; he was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
