Atlantic City, N.J. Mayor Will Be In Court For This Violent Incident

Atlantic City, New Jersey Mayor Marty Small is headed to a conflict court because of an incident that was captured on video.

The video clearly shows Small put his right hand on Atlantic City resident Deon Garland … whereby Small knocked Garland’s cell phone out of his hand and it fell to the ground.

Former Atlantic City Council President Craig Callaway can be seen and heard on the video calling Small “a child molester protector.”

Here are Small and Callaway in a stare down (see below) during this incident. The man in the blue shirt, with his back facing the camera is Atlantic City Council President George Tibbitt.

Callaway is referring to Small’s relative named Kayan Frazier.

Frazier is a cousin of La'Quetta Small. Small is the current Atlantic City Superintendent of Public Schools. La'Quetta Small is married to Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small. Frazier previously lived with The Small’s.

Many people believe that this direct, personal, familial relationship is at the root cause as to why both Atlantic City Mayor Marty and La Quetta Small have failed to take responsible, corrective action to protect students in Atlantic City from this threat.

Frazier has previously pled guilty in federal court (February 2021) to:

• One (1) count of child exploitation involving sexual abuse and child pornography.

Frazier was sentenced to 20 years, plus one month in federal prison.

Because the Marty Small incident occurred in Atlantic City, the matter has been sent to a conflict court at the North Wildwood & Wildwood Crest Shared Municipal Court.

The case will be heard by The Honorable Louis J. Belasco, Jr.

We have obtained a copy of the court notice that was sent to Small on May 25, 2023.

Small’s case is set to be heard on June 29, 2023 at 10:00 a.m., virtually.

In part, the notice to Small reads:

“Please be advised that you have been scheduled to appear for court VIRTUAL on the date and time listed above. Failure to appear may result in a Bench Warrant being issued for your arrest.”
