Atlantic City, New Jersey Mayor Marty Small has called a news conference for tomorrow, Wednesday, May 10, 2023.

We have learned that Small will announce the details of what Small has self-proclaimed to be the ‘Mayor Marty Small, Sr. Scholarship.”

The intention of this program is to award scholarships to 100 Atlantic City residents.

The initial 50 scholarships will go to current Atlantic City High School seniors.

The remaining 50 scholarships will be be awarded to incoming college sophomores, juniors and seniors who graduated from Atlantic City High School.

Small will convey that this is the first installment of a $3-million commitment over the next three years.

Small and his scholarship committee will outline the framework of the Atlantic City Scholarship program at tomorrow’s press conference.

Small is preparing to call the Atlantic City Scholarship program as “unprecedented.”

The genesis of this program is to help make college available to Atlantic City residents.
