Atlantic City, NJ, Mayor’s Ally Drives City Vehicle To Vote [Photos]
Atlantic City Council candidate Steve Young was on hand during the second day of in person, early voting in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small Ally
An Atlantic City employee, driving a City of Atlantic City van, arrived to Quaremba Hall (early voting polling site) during the 11:00 a.m. hour, today (allegedly) to vote.
Bob McDevitt and Steve Young told me that the individual was a Marty Small close ally named Floyd Tally.
However, a high ranking Atlantic County official said that it was not Floyd Tally.
You can see the City of Atlantic City vehicle below.
Here’s a close-up view (directly below):
Even though you can’t see him clearly in the vehicle, Young has advised that it is Floyd Tally inside this city taxpayer vehicle.
Atlantic County Clerk Joe Giralo
Giralo was at Quaremba Hall and advised me that it was Tally, who said that he was there on his own lunch break to cast his vote.
However, this remains in dispute, as some say it was Tally and others say it was not.
Giralo will be spending time at each of the seven polling places this week.
Below is photo of the city-owned van, which also pictures Giralo and Bob Cocce, from the Atlantic City Board of Education standing nearby.
Steve Young Unloads On Floyd Tally
We spoke with Steve Young, who said:
Floyd Tally, the anti violence director committed an act of official misconduct by using a city owned van, for the purpose of electioneering to bring people to vote, including himself. It's unknown if he's on city time. Also, he was parked within a 100 feet of the polling area. We need to have a fair election without any appearances of corruption, said Young.
NOTE: A highly credible, senior level County Official told me that they are 100 percent certain that the man in question was not Floyd Tally.
Although Young also said that he’s certain that it was Floyd Tally … we are must give Tally the benefit of the doubt here.
Whether or not it was Floyd Tally, is not even the question. Someone was driving the City van and parked it well within 100 feet of a polling place.
Ron Bailey, Atlantic City Board of Education Member
Here’s what Bailey wrote on his social media Facebook Page:
It’s Wrong To Drive Taxpayer Vehicle To polls
It appears just plain wrong for an Atlahtic City employee to drive a city taxpayer owned vehicle to vote.
