
Atlantic City, NJ Police Arrest Philadelphia Man: Recover Rifle
The Atlantic City Police Department continues its pursuit of taking both bad guys and guns off of the streets of Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The latest example involves a fight and recovery of a rifle as follows:
On June 21, 2024, at 9:13 PM, patrol officers responded to the beach block of New York Avenue for a report of several people fighting. Officers spoke with Joseph Miller who was involved in the fight. Miller and several acquaintances began to fight several other individuals. During the fight, a woman entered Miller's vehicle and drove off. She deliberately crashed the vehicle into a light pole and fire hydrant. The woman fled the area along with several other unknown individuals, according to the Atlantic City Police Department.
Atlantic City Police Officers learned about the rifle after the altercation.
Miller confirmed that a rifle was in the trunk of his vehicle.
Atlantic City Police Officers located and retrieved a rifle from inside the vehicle. Miller was arrested after the discovery of the rifle.
The individuals that fled the scene have yet been located by the Atlantic City Police Department.
ARRESTED: Joseph Miller, 19, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
CHARGES: Unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and possession of a large capacity magazine.
