Atlantic City, NJ Police Searching for Man for Guns & Drugs
The Atlantic City, New Jersey Police Department is asking the public for assistance in locating a man that is wanted for numerous guns and drug charges.
According to the Atlantic City Police Department, here are the circumstances involved:
On August 7, 2024, the Special Investigations Section concluded a two-month investigation into the distribution of narcotics from a residence in the 1500 block of Beach Avenue. With assistance from the department's SWAT Team, a court authorized search warrant was executed at the residence and on a vehicle. Wilbert Deberry Jr was arrested on scene. A wanted warrant has been issued for Joel Snyder, said the Atlantic City Police Department.
During a search of the residence and vehicle, Atlantic City Police detectives recovered:
- four handguns
- more than 15 pounds of marijuana
- 23 grams of cocaine
- narcotic paraphernalia that is used in the manufacturing and distribution of narcotics.
The Atlantic City Police Department also revealed that one of the handguns had been reported stolen from North Carolina.
Here are the two suspects, one who they have captured and the other who they are in search of.
WANTED: Joel Snyder, 45, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of CDS (two counts), possession of CDS with intent to distribute (two counts), unlawful possession of a weapon (three counts), possession of a weapon while committing a CDS offense, certain person not to possess a weapon, money laundering, maintaining a CDS production facility, possession of CDS paraphernalia, possession of a large capacity magazine, and receiving stolen property.
ARRESTED: Wilbert Deberry Jr., 53, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of CDS (two counts), possession of CDS with intent to distribute (two counts), unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon while committing a CDS offense, certain person not to possess a weapon, money laundering, maintaining a CDS production facility, possession of CDS paraphernalia, and possession of hollow-point ammunition.
Deberry is currently lodged at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
