Atlantic County Makes Visiting Beaches Easier for the Disabled
It's just about beach season in South Jersey and Atlantic County has taken action to ensure its beach's accessibility to disabled visitors.
The Atlantic County Disability Advisory Board and the Office of Disability Services Atlantic County have created the county's first Accessible Beach Guide, according to ventnorcity.org, which can be downloaded from from a variety of municipality websites and saved for easy reference this summer.
Among the information included in the guide is Accessible Beach Locations, where to find Surf Chairs, Accessible Parking, and Accessible Restrooms in Ventnor, Atlantic City, Margate, Longport, Brigantine, Somers Point, and Hamilton Twp.
