Atlantic County, NJ, Official Needs Prayers Over ‘Not Good News’
Politics must take a back seat to much more important things … such as an Atlantic County, New Jersey elected official who is fighting for his life.
A high-ranking Atlantic County official advised us that Atlantic County Commissioner Ernest Coursey has received “not good news” regarding his current battle against cancer.
Last week, Coursey announced that he will not seek a 5th term as Atlantic County Commissioner from the 1st District.
Former Democrat, turned Republican … Atlantic City Councilman George Tibbitt announced his candidacy for Coursey’s seat … when Coursey was still believed to be in the race.
Tibbitt has shown Coursey sincere compassion, respect and has spoken highly about Coursey, on-air when he thought that he was running against Coursey.
Yesterday, the Atlantic County Democrat Committee announced that The Reverend Collins Days will seek the Democrat Nomination for Coursey’s seat.
Days is the Father of Constance Days-Chapman, who is currently facing a significant number of criminal indictments. Days-Chapman is the suspended Principal of Atlantic City High School.
Days-Chapman is also the Chairwoman of the Atlantic City Democrat Committee and the long-time campaign manager for Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small.
That’s the Politics of all of this. However, the main purpose of this article is to form an Atlantic County “Prayer Chain” for Coursey.
The power of prayer cannot be overstated.
Coursey loved serving in his elected position. The fact that he isn’t running this year … it tells you all that you need to know.
Coursey’s campaign slogan for decades has been, “Coursey Cares.”
Now would be a good time for all of us to care about Coursey.
Below, are some excellent Don Hurley photos of the major renovations currently taking place at Atlantic City’s Pop Lloyd Baseball Stadium.
